"Ellie" is Too Beautiful to Be a Barn Cat
"Ellie" was adopted in 2019 after she was surrendered to a local animal hospital along with her kittens. She was barely a year old at the time. We had been looking for the perfect barn cat and we fell in love with her affectionate personality. Ellie quickly became best friends with our farm dog, "Cody", and she waits for him to come to the barn every morning and every evening. Ellie is quick to greet visitors to the farm and will make you feel welcome with lots of "meows" and leg rubs. Her main job is rodent control, but she is also wonderful at helping anxious kids to relax and smile. We hear little shouts of joy saying, "Look! There's a cat!" repeatedly throughout each day. Often, kids are even more excited about meeting Ellie than even meeting the horses or farm animals! She leaves quite an impression on everyone she meets and we are so grateful to have her on our therapy team. We always say she is "too beautiful to be a barn cat!", but she wouldn't want it any other way!
